Submissions to Chanakya's Chant Contest

From Feb 20 to Feb 27 we held a contest in which we asked participants to sendin their thoughts by completing the statement "If Chanakya were alive today hewould..."100 winners were awarded free copies of Ashwin Sanghis bestseller, ChanakyasChant.Upon completion of the contest, many winners were curious to know whatothers had said in their submissions. Given that all participants had been askedto send in their answers by email, we felt that there was a reasonableexpectation of privacy and hence we decided to compile all the winningstatements and present them randomly without mentioning names of theparticipants.Kindly note that some comments have been edited. Some of the special ones thatour team found rather interesting or witty have been highlighted. • If Chanakya were alive today he would have significantly contributed to world peace and delivered India from its corrupt people and we would have good governance. • IF CHANAKYA WERE ALIVE TODAY HE WOULD RESTRUCTURE INDIAS JUDICIAL SYSTEM. • If Chanakya were alive today, he would rewrite the Neetishastra to incorporate social media, and then use Twitter/Facebook/Blogging to promote it once published. • If Chanakya were alive today he would change the face of the nation with gentle progress while making us a superpower enough to reply to China. • If Chanakya were alive today, he would have spent all his life under the Stock Exchange building wondering how to formulate a universal concept of economics. • If Chanakya were alive today he would have made people face their books instead of using Facebook. • If Chanakya were alive today he would have made the mid-European countries follow democracy and ended the world crisis. • If Chanakya were alive today he would have made India a supreme country. • IF CHANAKYA WERE ALIVE TODAY HE WOULD BE IN TURMOIL THINKING ABOUT THE FATE OF THE COUNTRY NOW IN THE HANDS OF IDIOTS. • If Chanakya were alive today he would have made India the superior most power in the world, reducing her adversaries to the point of gasping for their very survival.

• If Chanakya were alive today he would never have let the Indo-Pak partition happen nor would he have allowed Englishmen to rule us.• If Chanakya were alive today he would teach politics to the politicians, the political way.• If Chanakya were alive today he would have taught our PM the principles of Saam, Daam, Dand, and Bhed.• If Chanakya were alive today we would not have been ruled by foreigners and a true leader, someone like Chandragupta, would have been ruling the World.• If Chanakya were alive today he would have written Kanaka (Gold) Shastra and the Dharma Shastra.• If Chanakya had been alive today India would have been more than alive: surviving, in the real sense of our forefathers...the ones who created this nation.• If Chanakya were alive today he would rectify the Kashmir solution and Pakistans feigned ignorance about terrorism in a moment.• If Chanakya were alive today he would definitely have won the Nobel prize for economics and India would have been able to boast of two Nobel laureates in economics.• IF CHANAKYA WERE ALIVE TODAY HE WOULD HAVE REMOVED THE MULTI-PARTY SYSTEM IN INDIA AND NO POLITICIAN WITH CRIMINAL RECORDS WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO CONTEST ANY ELECTION.• If Chanakya were alive today he would have taken India to the status of a developed nation by now as he did with the Mauryan empire.• IF CHANAKYA WERE ALIVE TODAY ALL WANNABE POLITICIANS WOULD HAVE TO PASS THRU TESTS LIKE ARMY AND RIGOROUS TRAINING BEFORE ADMISSION TO POLITICS.• If Chanakya were alive today he would have given the highest order of living and top thinking minds to Indian people and politics.• IF CHANAKYA WERE ALIVE TODAY WE WOULD HANG KASAB IMMEDIATELY AND WOULD MILITARILY TAKE CONTROL OF KASHMIR.• IF CHANAKYA WERE ALIVE TODAY HE WOULD firmly establish a strong economy, provide us with a strong PM who can solve Indian problems and revive our rich Vedic heritage.• IF CHANAKYA WERE ALIVE TODAY WE WOULD HAVE BEEN WORLD LEADERS, OUR POLITICS AND ECONOMICS WOULD HAVE BEEN THE BEST AND NOBODY WOULD HAVE BEEN BELOW THE POVERTY LINE.• If Chanakya were alive today he would make sure that his governments

image is never tarnished and that the PM is "perceived" to be a powerful person.• IF CHANAKYA WERE ALIVE TODAY THE AUTHOR OF ARTHASHASTRA WOULD HAVE BEEN INDIAS TICKET TO THE UN SECURITY COUNCIL.• If Chanakya were alive today India wouldnt just be a super power, we would be THE superpower!• IF CHANAKYA WERE ALIVE TODAY HE WOULD HAVE BEEN INSTRUMENTAL IN GUIDING INDIA IN OUR BILATERAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH COUNTRIES SUCH AS CHINA AND USA AND INDIAS INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS WOULD HAVE IMPROVED TO A MILE.• If Chanakya were alive today he would have created the Chakravyug and would have made India a real super power.• IF CHANAKYA WERE ALIVE TODAY INDIAS WAR STRATEGIES WOULD HAVE BEEN REFINED AND INSTEAD OF SUCCUMBING PRESSURE FROM CHINA ON BORDER ISSUES, THERE COULD HAVE BEEN A FAR GREATER SOLUTION.• If Chanakya were alive today he would be bogged down by the patent application process and may not have as many innovations to his credit.• If Chanakya were alive today he would have changed the scenario of the country. His cunning and devious mind has so much influence that, there would be less countries, less religions and a peaceful United nation on the earth with a very strong ruler and a powerful economy.• If Chanakya was alive today then he would certainly give Manmohan Singh a run for Prime Ministership because we all know that he was a great economist of his times and if he was alive today then maybe Manmohan Singh would have lost to him.• If Chanakya were alive today he would have created another Chandragupt Maurya and made India into a Golden Bird once again.• If Chanakya were alive today Bharat as a nation would never have lost its glory, as he had envisioned--Uthishta Bharata!• If Chanakya were alive today, he would have dealt with our countrys economy, its economic scandals, Indo-Pak relations (Kashmir etc.) according to his own great practical wisdom.• If Chanakya was alive today he would have said: you deserve the Government you vote to power, so be diligent in voting your representative.• If Chanakya were alive today he would be teaching at IIM!
