WEB BROWSER #1 The most popular web browser is Internet  Explorer.  Internet Explorer 7 is most popular because it is faster, safer, and easier with features such as tabbed browsing, web search right from the toolbar, advanced printing, easy discovery, reading and subscription to RSS feeds, and much more.
  • 3. WEB BROWSER #2 The second most popular web browser is  Mozilla Firefox.  Firefox 3 is second most popular because it is has password manager, one-click bookmarking, improved performance, smart location bar, instant web site ID, and full zoom.
  • 4. APPLE’S BROWSER Apple’s Browser is Safari 4.   Safari 4 has flashy new Top Sites view, a completely redesigned Windows UI, and support for some impressive emerging Web standards.
  • 5. ADD – ON  Add-on is a program utility that enhances a primary program.  Some add-ons include: Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, Sea Monkey, and Mozilla Sunbird.  These add-ons include extensions, themes, dictionaries, search bar quot;search engines,quot; and plugins.

PLUG IN A plug-in is a computer program that interacts with a  host application (a web browser or an email client, for example) to provide a certain, usually very specific, function quot;on demandquot;. Email clients use plug-ins to decrypt and encrypt  email Graphics software use plug-ins to support file formats  and process images Media players use plug-ins to support file formats and  apply filters Remote sensing applications use plug-ins to process  data from different sensor types
  • 7. ADOBE FLASH Flash is the Adobe standard for delivering high-impact, rich Web content.
  • 8. MICROSOFT SILVERLIGHT Microsoft Silverlight is a programmable web  browser plug-in that enables features such as animation, vector graphics and audio- video playback that characterizes rich Internet applications.
  • 9. 1ST WEB BROWSER 1st Web Browser was The NCSA Mosaic in 22 April, 1993 by National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA).
