Mobile is quickly dominating just about everything, including posting to Facebook. When looking at EdgeRank, we know that Facebook has been giving additional value to newer features or post types. How does Facebook treat posting from a mobile device?

  • Unless the methodology is explained, I'm confused why posting quality content from desktop or mobile should have a different impact in terms of engagement especially when reach stays the same. What this study should tell us instead, is that users engage more via mobile phones (perhaps they check FB more frequently on mobile) and has nothing to do with the platform posting preference. It's even harder to post quality photos (with post-editing) on mobile.
