      • Summarize how to integrate library services and content into Learning Management Systems via:
        • persistent links,
        • course accounts,
        • synchronous communication,
        • mashups,
        • RSS,
        • Desktop Presenter,
        • Jing,
        • Twitter, and
        • embedded librarians
      • … in order to make courses more dynamic and meaningful.
    3. 1. Find a resource and copy the persistent link . 2. Add the link to an online course. 3. Read the article!
    4. Create Course Accounts
    5. Try to be there for a student at their point of need. They’ll appreciate it for sure! Synchronous and asynchronous communication
    6. Mashups 1. Modified a Yahoo Pipe. 2. To generate a news listing from many sources. Students pick 1 article a week.
    7. Using RSS to bring content into LMSs 1. Conduct search 2. Copy RSS URL 3. Build feed … 4. Add JavaScript to a LMS page. Done!
    8. Desktop Presenter
    9. Use Jing to create screencasts and add “visuals to your online conversations.”
    10. Use Twitter for class conversations, library promotion, and much more! #cts1101 @cmairn
