Networks technology creates the ability to pick apart and put together many forms of media including print, audio, & visual
Educational researchers can publish to online sources that reach greater public spheres than before
The WWW has created an open forum for anyone to publish
Social and Cultural merging is creating a playground for the audience to become the director with little difficulty

To be legal or not to be…
Regulations are continuously changing
Fair Use Doctrine defines the copyright laws to abide by with some exceptions to educational institutions
Corporations can vary on their interpretations of how strict it should be
U.S. is an opt-out copyright system

Things to make you go hhhmm
Are the legal issues in place validated or overboard?
Do you feel differently as a researcher vs a researchee?
