Evidence of impact1. Eight countries and 8 M hectares of Evergreen Agriculture are already in place in West, Eastern and Southern Africa2. Yield has improved by 30-150 % through Evergreen Agriculture compared to conventional management.3. The impact of Evergreen Agriculture can be partially attributed to improving farmers resilience to climate shocks (e.g. more stable yields of crops and diversification of enterprises)

Going to scale1. More consistent, rigorous, and long-term research frameworks are required to improve the evidence base for Evergreen Agriculture2. Promote sectoral harmonization and get policy maker buy-in for Evergreen Agriculture as a low-cost high- return development option.3. Climate finance has to be redesigned to make it work for small holder farmers and diversion of subsidies can better support integrated systems4. Successful campaigns for upscaling Evergreen Agriculture include: great branding, organizations working in concert, active engagement of mass media, and an appropriate time frame for action.
