  • 2. All Greek gods and goddess are immortal. They also have all kinds of powers.
  • 3. The Greeks believed in many gods this was called polytheism. One god named Zeus was the king of all the gods.
  • 4. Another goddess was Hera. She was queen of all the gods and goddess. She was also in charge of women, marriage, and childbirth.
  • 5. Hades was the god of the underworld.
  • 6. Demeter is the goddess of harvest and fertility.
  • 7. Poseidon is the god of the sea. He is in lots of Greek stories. He has a temple in Athens.
  • 8. Gaia is the mother earth.
  • 9. Hestia is the goddess of the hearth or the home fire.
  • 10. Athena is the god of wisdom and battle strategies. She is the patron god of Athens.
  • 11. Ares is the god of war but, not battle strategies.
  • 12. Aphrodite is the goddess love and beauty. She married the god Hephaestus but, was in love with the war god Ares.
  • 13. Apollo is the god of music, poetry, and healing. He is the twin brother of the goddess Artemis.
  • 14. Artemis is the goddess of hunting, wildlife, and chastity.
  • 15. Hermes is the messenger of the gods. He is the god of merchants, thieves, luck, and messengers.
  • 16. Hephaestus is the god of fire and blacksmiths.
  • 17. Dionysus is the god of wine and vegetation.
  • 18. Now you know all of the Greek gods and goddess. Congratulations!
