    Immortal, all powerful gods of Greece!

  • There were many gods in Greece.
    The belief of many gods was called
    Polytheism. This presentation is all
    About the Greek gods!
  • Zeus
    Zeus was the king of all the Greek gods! He was able to do anything.
    He was the god of Heaven and Earth. His animal symbol was an eagle.
    He once defeated Kronos to save his brothers and sisters. Zeus takes
    Place in a lot of stories.
    Zeus welcomed everyone to
    Mount olympus. Hades didn’t
  • Hera
    Hera was the queen of the gods and the wife of
    Zeus. Her main animal was a peacock. She once was
    Spying on a storm cloud with zeus and another of
    His wives in it. Zeus disguised his new bride as a cow.
    Hera tied her to a tree and told her 100 eyed guardian
    Argus, to watch her. Later, Argus was bored to death.
    She got jealous of Zeus’ other
    Wives. She would try to kill them.
  • Hades
    Hades was the god of the under-
    world. He had a pet named Cerberus.
    His wife was Persephone. He actually
    Stole Persephone from her mother,
    Demeter. Hades forced Persephone
    To come back to the underworld for 4
    Months every year.
    Hades had a helmet of invisibility to
    Strike his enemies unseen.
  • Poseidon
    Poseidon was the god of the sea. He had
    A trident and used it to cause earthquakes.
    He created horses out of the waves. He
    Tortured Odysseus for blinding his cyclopes
    Son Polyphemus. By the end of Poseidon’s wrath,
    Odysseus was begging for mercy!
    Poseidon gave people a great gift. The horse.
  • Demeter
    Demeter was the goddess of agriculture. She
    Had a daughter named Persephone, who was
    Stolen by Hades to be his wife. It was a beautiful
    Day, and she heard Persephone crying for help.
    When ever persephone is gone, Demeter is sad,
    And it becomes winter.
    Demeter was the goddess of the harvest,
    And helped farmers.
  • Hestia
    Hestia was the goddess of the hearth and fire.
    She was one of Zeus’ sisters. She is the oldest
    As a matter of fact. She is known as the forgotten
    Goddess, because so little is known about Hestia.
    Hestia tended the hearth at Mount Olympus.
  • Athena
    Athena was the goddess of wisdom. She was
    One of Zeus’ daughters. She defended the
    Gods from someone named Aracne. Aracne
    Was a woman who thought she was better then
    The gods. Then Athena turned aracne into a
    Athena was born a thought, and sprang
    Out of Zeus’ head a full grown woman.
  • Ares
    Ares was the god of war! He turned into
    A boar when he was angry at people. Then,
    He killed them.
    He got married to Aphrodite and had a son
    Named Eros (cupid).
  • Aphrodite
    She is the goddess of love. She started
    The Trojan war by promising someone
    Named Paris the most beautiful woman
    On Earth. She really wanted Paris’
    Golden apple, so she promised him
    Helen of Troy. Helen was already married.
    She came out of the sea all full grown.
    She has no parents.
  • Apollo
    Apollo was the god of the sun and music.
    He killed a dragon named Phaethon to win
    An oracle. He rode a golden chariot with
    White geese.
    Apollo once owned a giant cow herd.
