  • 5. Is there one solution that fits all? Corning experience with FTTH rollouts Johann-Peter Hegemann has been with Corning Cable Systems for 18 years. J-P was appointed VP, Sales & Marketing, Carriers Europe in January 2000. He was named senior VP Sales & Marketing EuropeJohann-Peter HEGEMANN (Carrier & PN) in September 2002 and Senior VP Sales & Marketing Senior VP Sales & Marketing Carrier EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa & CIS) in November CORNING CABLE SYSTEMS 2003. Peter graduated from the University for Economic Sciences & Engineering services in Berlin. He is the chairman of Eurotelcab and a member of the executive board of Europacable. Klaus Kammermeier is Program Director FTTH EMEA for Corning for which he has been working since 1996 in various roles including business strategy, marketing, sales and business development. Since October 2005, he leads business areas with core products for Klaus Kammermeier FTTx deployments focusing on complete passive optical system Program Director FTTH EMEA solutions for FTTH deployments and assumes overall responsibility for CORNING CABLE SYSTEMS FTTH strategy and activity in the EMEA region.

  • 7. Delivering Innovation: Smart Engineering and Product Solutions Peter Ludin is Vice President Sales EMEA for Draka Telecom Solutions within Draka Communications. Peter, an experienced executive in the European IT and telecoms industry, joined Draka in October 2008. In a career which has spanned over 25 years, Peter has a successful track record from working with senior management in the telecommunications industry across Europe and the Middle East. Peter reinforces Draka’s Amsterdam team to help spearhead the Peter LUDIN company’s objective of finding and securing the large-scale FTTx Vice President Sales EMEA projects which are becoming a priority for telecom companies,DRAKA COMMUNICATIONS municipalities and governments.

  • 9. Economic impact of using advanced fibre coatings Benoît Felten is the CEO and co-founder of Diffraction Analysis. Benoît is a recognized expert on issues related to Next-Generation- Access. His expertise focuses on NGAN in terms of architecture, relevant vendor strategies as well as new service opportunities for ISPs, carriers, and MSOs. Before starting Diffraction Analysis, Felten was a Director of Access Benoît Felten Network Research at Yankee Group where he led the company’s CEO research efforts in the NGA field.Diffraction Analysis Benoît complements his day job by blogging about the economic and social impacts of next generation access on Fiberevolution and tweets on behalf of under the handle of @fiberguy.
