    2. Why use a heart rate monitor?
      • 1. Reach fitness goals and desired intensity.
      • 2. Measure levels over continuous period of time.
      • 3. Most accurate form of measurement
    3. How to set up and use a heart rate monitor
      • Spray the back of the chest strap with a little water.
      • Place chest strap around yourself just below your chest.
      • Put watch on and press start to get resting reading.
    4. What is your individual target heart rate?
      • 220 - (your age) = Max Heart Rate (MaxHR)
      • MaxHR - (resting heart rate) = Heart Rate Reserve (HRR)
      • HRR x 85% = training range %
      • training range % + RHR = high end of your THR zone
    5. Fitness Activities Using HRM
      • Physical Education Class
      • Team Sports (ie soccer, football)
      • Fitness Activities ( ie running)
      • Weight Lifting.
