Pueden verse sus obras en el International Center of Photography, de New York; Oakland Museum, de Oakland, CA; University Art Museum, California State University, de Long Beach y en el Musee de L'Elysee, en Lausanne, Suiza. Los géneros abordados por Schatz son muy diversos y evidencian una mirada sutil, original y creativa. Su galería de imágenes muestra bailarines, gimnastas, atletas, retratos, desnudos, un mundo de imágenes acuáticas sumando la ingravidez al juego de luz y movimiento, flores exquisitas... His most recent work , 100 photographs of dancers, models, athletes and acrobats taken in or on the water, is collected in his 17th book, "H 2 O," published by Bullfinch. All of the photographs were made at his home studio in Sherman, Conn. Las fotografías de Howard Schatz exploran lo romántico, la liberación de las cualidades de un ser en el medio ambiente de otro mundo. Su más reciente trabajo, cien fotografías de bailarinas, modelos, atletas y acróbatas tomadas en el interior o en el agua, se recogen en su 17a libro, "H2O", publicado por Bullfinch.
