Requirements and Spec Management AND Communication Celeroo Builder Introduction – Part I Development De coded

!@#$ Harry misunderstood my reqs. Henry keeps changing his reqs.
Whenever I clarify a req, Harry calls it a Change Request. Henry doesn’t understand that a small change can impact many features, and will take a lot of effort to implement.
I don’t have time to go through lengthy documents Harry gives me. I am pretty sure he or his team never reads it again, either. I sent Henry a 30 page Business Requirements Understanding Document and a 150 page Functional Specification Document. He said they were fine.
The final product delivered to me does not meet my reqs. And I had no clue as to what was happening till now. I need continual visibility into my project. I regularly sent email updates to Henry on the progress and he seemed fine with the progress. We used to chat often and had weekly calls.
Henry, Harry! I hear you both. Let me show you how to resolve these issues that makes it a win-win for both of you. Harry, please invite Marty and Jackie from your team. They will love it.
An extremely simple and flexible interface to manage requirements
Nice! All I need to do is:
Write req and hit enter.
Assign one or more tags to achieve unprecedented flexibility in filtering reqs. For example, I can use tags like Change request , Must Have req , Admin module , Phase 1 , and so on.
Once I have completed all reqs, I can save the version. I can save any number of versions and COMPARE them.
Wow! All I need to do is:
Select a req from the dropdown list for which I am writing this functional spec feature.
Write the feature and describe it in any detail.
Select the module(s) and page(s) this feature is part of.
Ooh! Based on a few selections, Celeroo Builder will automatically guide me when I am Building Pages , Writing Logic or Assigning Permissions , without me having to shuttle between the spec document and the task. Isn’t that nice, Jackie?
An equally simple interface to build the functional spec
Neat! I don’t have to do anything, and yet:
I can easily see which reqs have not been associated with features.
I can easily see features I have written that do not trace back to any reqs.
Any changes made to the req automatically get highlighted to allow me to take necessary action on associated spec features.
Most importantly , Harry can now see the impact of any change on the features and appreciate the level of complexity involved.
An automatically created matrix traces reqs to the spec
Cool!
I don’t have to have project related information scattered in emails, chats, phone logs, documents, and so on.
All messages, related comments and related files are handily available to me in one place.
Communicate through messages and files
Awesome!
With no extra work, I can immediately see in the Dashboard how many requirements and features are yet to be linked together.
I get Total Control on the project as I do not have to go asking each team member or call for meetings to get status updates. And all without them having to waste time filling daily update sheets.
Real-time visibility into project progress from the Dashboard
So Henry and Harry,
No more communication gaps with respect to misunderstood reqs.
Effective change management with tags and automatic traceability matrix.
No lengthy documents to read or refer to while building apps. Required spec features readily available while building pages, building logic and assigning permissions.
Real-time visibility on project progress for both of you.
