      When you pull the string, the fulcrum causes the rest of the blinds to go up or down.

      Found in a room
      Light switch
      You are either lifting of pushing down on the switch causing it to turn on or off the lights and this would be considered as a lever.
    • Wedge
      Pencil- can be used to stab or write.
      Found anywhere at home
      You are applying force and that can cause things to be cut open or be pushed in.
    • Wheel and axel
      Door knob found on a door
      When you turn the door knob, the axel also moves the same direction too.

      Bottle cap
      Found on a bottle
      The string inside goes in a circle going up to make putting the cap easier.
    • Compound 1
      Scissors are both a wedge and a lever.
      It’s a wedge because it can cut threw things while the lever helps you do that.
    • Compound 2
      A can-opener
      It can be found in a kitchen.
      This is a lever and a wedge . It’s a wedge because it can cut threw a can. It is a lever because you have to lift and close the handles so you can use the wedge.
