2. 2. Gear<br />Clock<br />Found in room<br />This is used to tell time and the gears in the back helps us keep time.<br />

4. 4. Pully<br />Curtain string<br />Found by a window<br />When you pull the string, the fulcrum causes the rest of the blinds to go up or down.<br />
5. 5. Lever<br />Found in a room<br />Light switch<br />You are either lifting of pushing down on the switch causing it to turn on or off the lights and this would be considered as a lever. <br />
6. 6. Wedge<br />Pencil- can be used to stab or write.<br />Found anywhere at home<br />You are applying force and that can cause things to be cut open or be pushed in.<br />
7. 7. Wheel and axel<br />Door knob found on a door<br />When you turn the door knob, the axel also moves the same direction too.<br />
8. 8. Screw<br />Bottle cap<br />Found on a bottle<br />The string inside goes in a circle going up to make putting the cap easier. <br />
9. 9. Compound 1<br />Scissors are both a wedge and a lever.<br />It’s a wedge because it can cut threw things while the lever helps you do that.<br />
10. 10. Compound 2<br />A can-opener<br />It can be found in a kitchen. <br />This is a lever and a wedge . It’s a wedge because it can cut threw a can. It is a lever because you have to lift and close the handles so you can use the wedge.<br />
