Experience: A 222 hour preceptorship completed at St. Joseph East Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Here, I learned about the art of aiding families in emotional crisis, how to care for fragile infants, how to look for signs of decline. I learned how to use ventilators, incubators, certain calculations medications, IV insertions, CPR, etc. Here, I developed a strong passion for the NICU.
