Final Visual Resume Presentation Transcript

  • 1. I am Cori Arena I was born in Corbin, KY (home the original KFC). I am a daughter, sister, reader, thinker, student, traveler, and a go-getter.
  • 2. Some of passions are nursing, learning new things, cooking, going to new places, helping others, and family.
  • 3. Education and degree I will receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kentucky in December 2011 with a 3.4 GPA.  How I feel about this.

    • Current Job: University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant
    Accomplishments: CPR/AED Certification by the American Heart Association, August 2010 Certified Nurse Assistant, State Certified, Fall 2008 Certified in Phlebotomy, University of Kentucky, January 2010 Volunteer: Habitat for Humanity, Spring 2007 Volunteer: Operation Unite Drug Free Camp as Camp Counselor 80 hours, Summer 2011 Member of Cats That Care Volunteer Organization, Spring 2011, Fall 2011 University of Kentucky Dean’s List, Fall 2007, Spring 2008, Spring 2011 Scholarship: Nursing Educational Award University of Kentucky, Fall 2011
  • 5. Experience: A 222 hour preceptorship completed at St. Joseph East Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Here, I learned about the art of aiding families in emotional crisis, how to care for fragile infants, how to look for signs of decline. I learned how to use ventilators, incubators, certain calculations medications, IV insertions, CPR, etc. Here, I developed a strong passion for the NICU.
