What did you learn by creating your own podcast about your project? For me, creating a podcast was a new and fascinating experience. As a first timer, I was excited to know that my work in the community based service project would be accessible to the seeing impaired. The experience also allowed me to passionately speak about my work, which otherwise might have been lost in transcription. Creating a podcast provided me with a personalized way to display my work.

Once I was able to actually hear my thoughts and feelings from my podcast, I was able to expand on those thoughts. For example, on my first podcast I explained some of the problems that I was having and then after listening to my podcast I was able to make changes to the problem areas that I was having with the project.

I learned how to organize and really reflect on my own thoughts about the project (TKF). Making a podcast encouraged me to reflect more deeply on my involvement and commitment to the project and conveying that to the listener.

What did you gain by listening to others' podcasts? After listening to others podcasts, I could hear the emotion and enthusiasm that flourished through this type of work. Reading others transcriptions may have hindered my ability to hear their voices. Putting a voice to words allowed me to imagine their experiences more vividly.

Without having to talk to other groups, I could just listen to their podcast and learn about different ideas. I learned about how each group was going about creating a project for their organizations. I was able to see what kind of tactics they were using as well. I learned what was working and what was not working for other groups.

By listening to others' podcasts, I was able to learn about the different reasons and perspectives that brought people to choose their organizations. It was especially interesting to learn of my own group and other TKF groups' reasons for choosing TKF.
