  • Now I’d like to spend a few minutes talking about why customers select Adobe Connect. At a high level, Adobe Connect is an enterprise web conferencing solution for online meetings, eLearning, and webinars used by leading corporations and government agencies. The key differentiators that truly set Adobe Connect apart include the following: First, Adobe Connect is based on the Adobe Flash Player. Because the Flash Player is installed on virtually all Internet connected computers (99%), nearly anyone can get directly into a meeting without the need for a separate download. This is very different from competitive offerings that require downloads – which often delay the start of meetings or result in individuals not being able to attend meetings at all. With Adobe Connect, our customers can be sure that invitees will be able to get into meetings. Second, Adobe Connect provides very rich experiences. We really do this in two ways: (a) with Adobe Connect, presenters can completely define their meeting environment. They can select from a variety of pods – e.g., share pod, not pod, video pods, polling pod. They can do this prior to a meeting, or real time during a meeting. In addition, they can also define the look and feel of their meeting rooms. In short, they can completely control the overall meeting environment. (b) they can also share virtually any kind of content. For example, they can share video. And they can do so confidently knowing that anyone in their meeting will be able to view the video. Presenters are left wondering whether meeting attendees have the right video player to play the video; with Adobe Connect, anyone that’s in the meeting can view the video. Third, Adobe Connect is secure and compliant. For example, the Defense Information Services Agency is using Adobe Connect to provide web conferencing services to all the branches of the military. They are using an on premise version of our solution, and have implemented triple authentication to ensure complete security. Adobe Connect also supports a variety of compliancy requirements. For example, financial institutions can use Adobe Connect to ensure that meetings are recorded if necessary, and enforce the compliance requirements at the overall company level. Fourth, Adobe Connect is highly extensible. This is even more so with the new version of Adobe Connect which is based on Action Script 3. Because it’s based on Action Script 3, any Flex developers can now develop extensions to Adobe Connect. This opens us up to over 1,000,000 developers that can extend the capabilities of Adobe Connect. And finally, we’re seeing more and more customers select Adobe Connect as a single platform within their enterprise. Because of the solution’s richness and flexibility, it can support virtually all use cases in the enterprise. Let me show you some examples… next slide

Adobe Connect Pricing and Licensing – Explained in Plain English Adobe Connect pricing (or licensing) is probably near the top, if not at the top, of the list of complicated things to figure out. It is often either not properly explained or not properly understood and customers can get left with deployments that either don’t meet or grossly exceed their needs as a result. This is intended to help explain what all of the different licensing options are (how they work, limitations, advantages, etc.). It is only sold through partners. Adobe sets the retail pricing, so therefore, the price does not vary amongst partners. Adobe Connect Pricing and Licensing – Explained in Plain English Adobe Connect Meetings Meeting Host License: A Meeting Host license is assigned to a staff member within your organization to be able to schedule/host unlimited meetings with up to 100 connections per meeting. One meeting at a time per host license. Attendees and co-presenters do NOT need a license. Anyone can join and the meeting host can make anyone a presenter (as many as you’d like). A Meeting Host license may be reassigned from one individual to another staff member anytime. This is currently the most popular licensing model. Adobe Connect Webinars Named Webinar Manager (NWM): A NWM license is assigned to a staff member within your organization to be able to schedule/host unlimited Webinars with up to 100, 500, or 1,000 connections per Webinar. One webinar at a time per named webinar manager. A Named Webinar Manager license may be reassigned from one individual to another staff member anytime. NWM licenses include all of the same features as the Meeting Host license with the added ability to access to the Events Management features. Event Management includes the ability to create custom attendee registration landing pages so that attendees can self-register, receive confirmation email and reminders. View a demo video. Shared Webinar Manager (SWM) – Includes the same features as the NWM license, however, this option is geared towards organizations that have a lot of staff members that need a to be able to schedule and “host” (not attend) webinars. The SWM license is not tied to any person and allows anyone in the company to schedule and host webinars. One webinar at a time per shared webinar room license. Available capacities are; 500, 1,000 and 1,500 connections per meeting.

Adobe Connect Pricing and Licensing – Explained in Plain English Adobe Connect eLearning Live Virtual Classrooms – Named Virtual Classroom Manager (NVCM): With this licensing, a Named Virtual Classroom Manager can create and run a Virtual Classroom (which has a “live” instructor) at any given time with up to 200 attendees. The NVCM can also create Courses within the Training Module of Connect, but they will only be able to be delivered within a Virtual Classroom as synchronous (meaning live) training. The NVCM license also comes with access to the Events Management features. Event Management includes the ability to create custom attendee registration landing pages so that attendees can self-register, receive confirmation email and reminders – view a demo video. For example, a NVCM can create a curriculum that includes several live online classes that must be attended and completed by the trainee. The trainee can enroll online and attend the classes. The NVCM can track registration and attendance, access reporting, test, grade, etc. On-Demand Training – Concurrent Learner: The concurrent learner license allows trainers to deploy curriculum and/or courses online for asynchronous (on-demand or not live) training delivery. Any enrolled students will have their results tracked via the lightweight Learning Management System (LMS) functionality that Adobe Connect offers. The concurrent learner license is NOT tied to any particular person or trainee. Unlimited Curriculum’s and/or Courses can be created, and you can enroll an unlimited amount of users, but you are capped at how many concurrent licenses you have. So if you have 1,000 enrollees and only 100 Concurrent Learner licenses, only 100 enrollees can be tracked at any given time, and the remaining enrollees will have the ability to engage in the training content and have their results tracked once the one of the enrollees have completed the training and are no longer accessing the training content. Note: Concurrent Learner and Named Virtual Classroom Manager licensing can co-exist on any Connect deployment. If you have both, then the ability to deliver both synchronous and non-synchronous training will be available.

Audio Options Option Description Computer Audio (VoIP) Use Computer Audio if you would like to have both the meeting presenters and attendees connect to the meeting and speak/hear through their computer. Computer audio can be set up as one-way (attendees muted) or two-way. Note: In order to use computer audio, users need to have a PC, sound card, and speakers or headset to listen to the audio. They will need a microphone for two way computer audio. Telephone Conferencing Use Telephone conferencing service if you want to use audio teleconferencing via the phone for the audio portion of the meeting. The service can call out to meeting attendees to join them in or attendees can dial into the audio conference call. For international attendees, Toll- free numbers are available from 89 countries and local access numbers are available from 23 cities.
