Social Media is all about sharing, and by making your brand part of your customer's social life you will get their loyalty and they will spread the word to their friends. Clever social media marketing can be of great benefit to any company, and it's specially good for the following things:

Customer engagement

Brand Credibility

Faster feedback

Low cost

Are these things that you are interested in as a business owner?

In less than nine months, Facebook added 100 million users.

"Facebook" is the second most popular keyword on Google globally.

Facebook has more than 350 million active users, of whom 35 million update their status boxes everyday, and serves 200 billion page impressions a month

 8. 9. Some Facebook Statistics

The average user has 130 friends and spends 55 minutes a day on Facebook.

The average user sends out 8 friend requests and writes 25 comments per month

The 35-54 year old demo is growing fastest, with a 276.4% growth rate recently.

The 55+ demo is not far behind with a 194.3% growth rate

The 25-34 year population on Facebook is doubling every 6 months

There are more females (55.7%) than males (42.2%) on Facebook – 2.2% are of unknown gender.

 9. 11.

According to a recent poll (of social network users between 18-24), the top four reasons for joining a brand or fan group on Facebook:

get news or product updates (67 percent)

view promotions (64 percent)

submit opinions (36 percent)

connect with other customers (33 percent)

And while 84 percent see ads on social networks, a whopping 74 percent say they click infrequently and 36 percent say they don’t click on ads at all.
