  2. 2. Our Rector is at Holy Trinity, Thornhill this morning, where he is preaching at the Founders’ Day Service for his alma mater, Holy Trinity School. Kevin was a founding student at HTS in 1981. TONIGHT, November 17 at 4:30 pm CHRISTMAS SERVICES The Amanda Tosoff Quartet Please plan to join us for our Christmas Services this year: Children & Youth Programs  The Nest is our childcare program for children under the age of 4. The Nest opens prior to the 10:00 service in our nursery space on the third floor. Tuta Shurdha is our certified Nest coordinator, and she is accompanied by a volunteer parent or teen assistant. If you would like to use this service, please ask one of the sidespeople to direct you to the Nest.   PromiseLand is our church school for children from the ages of 5 to 12. The children meet in the church at 10:00 am, and then move to the St. Nicholas Chapel during the opening hymn. Natalie Kemp is our Director of Children’s Education, and would be happy to tell you more about Promiseland. YAL – Young Anglican Leaders meet regularly for learning, fellowship, food and fun. Please speak with Natalie Kemp for more details about YAL. Thursday 12:10 pm November 14th Rising Stars Recital Students from the U.ofT. Faculty of Music will perform Christmas Eve 7:00 pm – Family Eucharist & Pageant 11:00 pm – Traditional Midnight Mass (preceded by a Carol Sing at 10:30 pm) Christmas Day 8:00 am – Said Eucharist 10:00 am – Sung Eucharist with Carols Christian Meditation continues on Monday, November 18th at 11:15 am in the Arthur Smith Room. No experience required! Upcoming Sundays… November 24 is our Anniversary Sunday (celebrating 143 years of CCDP!) December 1 is the First Sunday of Advent (Advent Lessons & Carols at 10:00 am & Lighting of the Advent Wreath). It is also World AIDS Day, which we will remember in the context of the prayers that day. CCDP Contemplative Knitting Circle: We honour stillness, beauty, skill & human labour. Please join us in the Arthur Smith Gallery for a silent auction of our work from November 3rd – 22nd. All proceeds go to CCDP. Parish Forum – Sunday, November 3, 2013: A big thank you to all presenters and parishioners for an energetic and informative Parish Forum. It was truly inspirational and a testament to the engagement, commitment and longstanding generosity of this parish. There sure is Life Here! If you missed the forum or would like to review the presentation, the materials are on our website. Christmas Fair November 30, 2013 10:30 am to 1:30 pm Volunteers Needed. We also need home-baking and preserves, knitting, linens, jewelry, crafts, and bottles (wine, olive oil, etc.) for the bottle game.
