    • 1. Adults have 10.6 pints of blood.
    • 2. Blood is thicker than water.
  • 4. 2 Supporting Organs
    • 1. Heart
    • 2. Veins/Arteries
  • 5. 3 Relative Words
    • 1. Arteries- Tough, elastic tubes that carry blood away from the heart. 2. Aorta- Largest artery in the body. 3. Venules- The smallest veins.
  • 6. A Supporting Body System
    • The Respiratory System. When the blood reaches the lungs the carbon dioxide is removed. The fresh oxygen we've breathed in through the lungs takes it's place.
  • 7. 5 Terms to Learn
    • 1. Inhale- Filling the lungs with fresh oxygen. 2. Arterioles- Thinner arteries. 3. Heart- A muscular organ that pumps blood through the body. 4. Lungs- Respiratory organs that work together with the heart to remove carbon dioxide and replace it with oxygen. 5. Oxygen- The essential element for life.
