A Supporting Body System
The Respiratory System. When the blood reaches the lungs the carbon dioxide is removed. The fresh oxygen we've breathed in through the lungs takes it's place.

1. Inhale- Filling the lungs with fresh oxygen. 2. Arterioles- Thinner arteries. 3. Heart- A muscular organ that pumps blood through the body. 4. Lungs- Respiratory organs that work together with the heart to remove carbon dioxide and replace it with oxygen. 5. Oxygen- The essential element for life.
Heart- A muscular organ that pumps blood throughout the body. Aorta- Largest artery in the body. Vein- Blood vessel that carries blood toward the heart.
Artery- Blood vessel that carries blood away from the heart.
Capillaries- The smallest blood vessel that connect arterioles and venules.
