  • 1. Ecclesiastes March 7 - May 23 “ The wise person listens” Week six
  • 2. Ecclesiastes 5: 1-7 “ the wise person listens” Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong.
  • 3. Ecclesiastes 5: 1-7 “ the wise person listens” Do not be quick with your mouth,        do not be hasty in your heart        to utter anything before God.        God is in heaven        and you are on earth,        so let your words be few. As a dream comes when there are many cares, so the speech of a fool when there are many words.
  • 4. Ecclesiastes 5: 1-7 “ the wise person listens” When you make a vow to God, do not delay in fulfilling it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow. It is better not to vow than to make a vow and not fulfill it. Do not let your mouth lead you into sin. And do not protest to the temple messenger, "My vow was a mistake."
  • 5. Ecclesiastes 5: 1-7 “ the wise person listens” Why should God be angry at what you say and destroy the work of your hands? Much dreaming and many words are meaningless. Therefore stand in awe of God. Ecclesiastes 5:1-7
  • 6. Ecclesiastes 5: 1-7 “ the wise person listens” “ The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy him forever.”
  • 7. Ecclesiastes 5: 1-7 “ the wise person listens” “ Worship is the submission of all of our nature to God, It is the quickening of conscience by His Holiness, nourishment of the mind by His truth, Purifying of imagination by His beauty, Opening of the heart to His love, and Submission of will to his purpose. And, all this gathered up in adoration is the greatest of human expressions of which we are capable.”
  • 8. Ecclesiastes 5: 1-7 “ the wise person listens” It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
  • 9. Ecclesiastes March 7 - May 23 “ Listen and understand. What goes into a man’s mouth does not make him unclean, but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him unclean.”
