2. Desperate The rejection of liberalism in Germany and Russia appealed to the general public because of their desperate desire to be free of the horrible conditions they were living in.
3. Germany The people of Germany were at their lowest low. The economy was horrible, people were dying and just making it from day to day was hard enough. They would take anyone or anything to get them out of this terrible depression and this was perfect for Hitler. He came into the picture and everyone accepted him because they were desperate and it was all they had.
4. Russia In Russia the economy was just as bad. The peasants which was about 80 % of the population were being taxed outrageously and couldn’t afford to live. They wanted to destroy class based system reject classical liberal economic principles and provide better living and working conditions for all. They revolted in 1917 because they were just so desperate.
