The Association of Psychologists and Psychopedagogists PROCIVITAS DESCRIPTION OF ORGANISATION The Association of Psychologists and Psychopedagogists PROCIVITAS is a socio-professional association, non-profit and non-governmental, for counseling and social services for children, family and society, with its centre in Constant a, Romania. The association was founded in 2005. We are a young organization with over 100 members, aged 18-50 and over 50 teenagers aged 14-18. The association’s activity is coordinated by the Managing Board and by a President chosen of the founding members. TARGET GROUPS D isadvantaged groups; Children with special needs; Gifted Children; Children and young people who live on the street or in shelters; Drug users; Sexual minorities; Cultural communities; Students of middle schools and high schools ; Medical personnel; Students and socio-human universities graduates ; All the public . Association’s mission: Improving the human life by activating consciousness and promoting freedom conscious.

The Association of Psychologists and Psychopedagogists PROCIVITAS OBJECTIVES promoting respect regarding all human beings and their living environment; promoting the family values and children rights; creating a climate of tolerance between citizens without any differences such as rasial identity, nationality, religion or sexual orientation a.s.o.; offering consulting, moral and material support for disadvantaged persons; offering information and training campaigns for the population; promoting the relations and cooperation with and between organizations and similar associations from country and abroad; promoting and defending the dignity, the interests and prestige of psychologists and psychopedagogists ; promoting volunteering ; promoting, developing and carrying out scientific activities; organizing and conducting training programs and improvement for psychologists, psychopedagogists, social workers and teachers from preuniversity education; promoting, developing, organizing and conducting activities for youth; organizing cultural projects, intercultural projects and multicultural projects; creating, editing and printing of information materials, educational and professional promoting, developing and implementing non-formal education programs; providing information services, advice, guidance and mediation of labor; develop and promote programs of personal development camps in non-formal environment for children, youth and adults

VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES Volunteers Management – 2005/2006 Coordinating: APP PROCIVITAS Objectives : forming a permanent group of trained local volunteers to inform and educate people (Roma) on family planning, the introduction of a psychologist in schools, pedagogical and psychological counseling, speech therapy evaluation and treatment, making a survey on the assessment needs and social services for individuals. Partner : Medgidia City Vo lunteers ’ Academy -15 August - 15 December 2005 Organizer: APP PROCIVITAS Partner: Holt Romania - FCSSCF Funded by ANSIT Volunteer Week - 2007 - in this action, APP awards volunteers who have distinguished themselves in activities organized for this occasion, and a team of APP moderated a workshop on assertive communication and personal development. The Association of Psychologists and Psychopedagogists PROCIVITAS PROVIDE S SPECIALIZED SERVICES APP PROCIVITAS provided specialized services for psychological evaluation and certification of adoptive parents. Assessment and counseling for parents and children, beneficiaries of the DGAS Constanta. Period: August 2005 - August 2006 Partner: General Directorate of Social Assistance Constanta ( Direcţia Generală de Asistenţă Socială Constanta ) APP PROCIVITAS voluntarily provided specialized courses of psychology, pedagogy and speech therapy for children and youth with special needs from a day care center. The Association of Psychologists and Psychopedagogists PROCIVITAS PROVIDE S SPECIALIZED SERVICES We were, are and will be responsible - survey of drug use among high school students Purpose : The project follows a through ly study for young students on knowledge, attitudes and behaviors related to legal and illegal drug use among children from Constanta . Dates : July - November 2007 Founded by Autoritatea Nationala pentru Tineret prin Directia Judeteana de Tineret Constanta ( National Authority for Youth by the Youth Directorate Constanta County). The drug, the illusion of freedom Coordinator: APP PROCIVITAS Purpose: to inform young people in jail on drug and its risks, particular y the risk of HIV and the development of attitudes of rejection of alcohol, tobacco and drugs. The direct beneficiaries of the project: 500 young people from White Gate Penitentiary (Penitenciarul Poarta Alba). Dates: July - December 2007 Funded by ANT Directia Judeteana pentru Tineret Constanta ( ANT Youth Department from Constanta county ) . I nternational Day of Non-violence in school Organizer: APP PROCIVITAS Roundtable discussion with pupils, parents, teachers, masters, school counselors and the responsible factors in promoting non-violence in school. Dates: January 30, 2007

The Association of Psychologists and Psychopedagogists PROCIVITAS PROVIDE S SPECIALIZED SERVICES PROCIVITAS Club s Purpose: APP members involvement in community life of Constanta. Results: The organization of a PROCIVITAS club to analyze community problems identified in Constanta. Period: January, December 2007 Project organized and funded entirely by the APP PROCIVITAS departments . Civic Education in Action The overall objective of the project : Increasing youth participation in society and reducing risk factors that lead to marginalization and social exclusion t hrough art. Project beneficiaries: 200 youngsters - 100 from five schools and 100 from five shelters . Dates: March - June 2007 Funded by Autoritatea Naţională pentru Tineret prin Direcţia Judeţeană pentru Tineret Constanţa ( National Authority for Youth by Youth Department from Constanta County) Năvod ari School’s Days - 2007 In th is action, APP PROCIVITAS has coordinated several activities about youth involvement and social responsibility to reduce aggressive behavior. The APP PROCIVITAS team was very well received by students and teachers and thay were congratulated and thanked for the successful action.

The Association of Psychologists and Psychopedagogists PROCIVITAS PROVIDE S SPECIALIZED SERVICES Sociological Research on the educational needs of first- schoolers The project was fully implemented by APP PROCIVITAS in Constanta County. 15 members of APP PROCIVITAS have participated, of which 10 operators and five specialists from the team which conducted the research. Purpose : To identify and supply the needs of preschool education in Constanta county Results : The research was conducted and the results were publicized Period: January - March 2007 Funded by Fundatia Sf. Maria ( St. Mary's Foundation) On c e is always - a project coordinated and implemented by APP PROCIVITAS Purpose: to inform and educate students of VIII th , IX th and X th class es in 50 schools in Constanta, on the drug, its risks on the development of attitudes of rejection of alcohol , tobacco and drugs. The direct beneficiaries of the project were 6500 students of VIII th , IX th and X th class es of the 50 schools and colleges informed by 10 policemen. Period: July-December 2007 Founded by ANT

Dates: May to September 2006 Dragobetele, or how to love in Romania n Scientific session organized on the occasion of "Dragobete" (St. Valentine) and APP PROCIVITAS anniversary. Participants : APP members, students, teachers, school counselors, practitioners, close associates of the association, young families and future families. Dates : February 24, 2008

The Association of Psychologists and Psychopedagogists PROCIVITAS National Conference of Psychology -Psychosocial integration of persons with disabilities- Under the aegis of transforming boundaries in starting lines APP PROCIVITAS organized the first edition of the National Conference, in September, 26 to 30.2007 at Eforie Sud, on psychosocial integration of persons with disabilities. The conference was attended by 68 specialists from all over the country. Four thematic workshops were organized; A publication was developed - Transform ing boundaries in starting line s . 16 people with disabilities have been involved in workshop activities. This s uccessful action led to the idea of an initiative to address the permanent integration of persons with psychosocial disabilities from an interdisciplinary perspective CONFERENCES , SEMINARS

The Association of Psychologists and Psychopedagogists PROCIVITAS PROJECTS Diversity joins us project, implemented by APP PROCIVITAS, sought knowledge and promotion of diversity and intercultural dialogue among young people. The sociological research with 1,000 correspondents provided information for 25 participants at a national seminar which was held in Constanta. I mplementation period : September 2008 - July 2009 Funded by ANPCDEFP, within the Youth in Action Program, National Youth Initiative BIG BROTHERS – BIG SISTERS The project implemented by APP PROCIVITAS, was held constant over 12 months, with the overall objective of youth involvement in 10 schools and three shelters; the project involved over 130 young people in activities. With non-formal education instruments, over 130 young people from 10 schools and three shelters have participated in briefings and trainings on pro social behavior, young European opportunities, the voting right and peer education.
