The 5 Daily Actions Steps That Guarantee Success - Presentation Transcript

    1. The 5 Daily Actions Steps That Guarantee Success by Leslie Fieger Occasionally I hear from people who are honest enough to tell me that they are too lazy to study all the success and personal development literature in order figure out what to do to create success. Recently, a young man emailed me to say, “Can’t you just tell me 5 simple things to do every day that would guarantee my success?” What follows below is a copy of my answer to this demanding fellow: No mentor or teacher, no system, no knowledge and no practice can guarantee your success. Only you have that power. However, I will guarantee that, if you do these five things every single day, the quality of your life will improve dramatically almost immediately and you will soon discover that your success and happiness are unfolding as if by magic. #1 First thing upon awakening each day, before doing anything else, spend ten minutes expressing your gratitude for the multitude of blessings that you already have in your life. At first it may seem difficult to find enough things to fill up ten minutes, but after about one week of doing this practice; you will find that ten minutes is hardly enough time. You can and should be grateful for each and every breath you are enabled to take. You can and should be grateful for the almost infinite potentials that exist for you to explore. And there is plenty of stuff between those two examples. #2 Immediately following that ten minute exercise, spend the next ten minutes focusing your attention on the ideal life you desire to create for yourself. Create the image in your imagination and fill it in with more and more detail each day. The ideals that you create and focus on determine the direction of your life, the results you achieve and the sense of purpose that you bring to each day’s activities. #3 As often as possible during the day, while you are doing whatever you are doing, focus your attention on your ideals, your goals and your daily task list. Having a set of clearly defined goals is your game plan. The way to win any game, including the game of life, is to stay focused on your game plan. #4 Just before you go to bed each night, review what you have accomplished during this day and then write down a list of things that you believe you need to do the next day in order to create the success you wish to live, to have and to enjoy. Again, you need to have a tangible plan of action to follow, even if it needs to be adjusted each day. As a wise man by the name of Ben Franklin was said, “Failing to plan is planning to fail.” #5 Just before going to sleep, spend ten minutes expressing your gratitude for all the wonderful things that you are in the process of creating for yourself and others. This is a different exercise than the morning gratitude list. Expressing your gratitude in advance for the things you are in the process of creating convinces your subconscious mind that you believe in the reality of your ideals and goals. This is a critically important element in being able to be a conscious creator. Otherwise you are stuck in repeating experiences determined by previous events and
