The successful applicant is expected to have an outstandingresearch record, in one or more of the following fields: socio‐political and ‐ administrative conditions of socio‐pedagogical theory and action, qualitymanagement, analysis and development of socio‐pedagogical organizations, andsocio‐pedagogical professionalization. Qualifications for employment are anexcellent first degree and higher degree (PhD) in Educational Science.Furthermore, a postdoctoral lecture qualification (Habilitation), or its equivalentare also required. Experience in teaching undergraduate and post‐graduatestudents is essential. Engagement in the scientific cooperation within theinstitute, as well as in an interdisciplinary context of the faculty is expected.Experience in third‐party funds rising is expected, as well. The project is a collaboration betweenthe Centre for Applied Linguistics at the University of Warwick and LanguageTesting, Pearson. It will involve working closely with these institutions. Thesuccessful applicant will be predominantly based within the Centre for AppliedLinguistics under the supervision of Dr. Claudia Harsch. Specific periods over thethree years will be dedicated to working directly at the Language Testing divisionat Pearson, London. The successful candidate will be expected to start inOctober 2012.Students wishing to apply for this award should hold (or expect to obtain) an MAwith distinction or merit in Applied Linguistics with a focus on Language Testingand Assessment or another relevant topic by October 2012.
