- How many here have heard of multiple learning styles and multiple intelligences? What are “Learning Styles? You may have a preferred learning style and your preferred learning style may guide the way you learn. Learning Styles also change the way you understand experiences, the way you recall information, and even the words you choose are a direct result of your preferred learning style or styles. You came to this lightening talk to learn about the WordPress Visual Editor. So why would you need to know about learning styles to work with the WordPress visual editor? You most likely don't however, I have found it useful to observe clients learning styles when I customize the Visual Editor for their ease of use. So why would the clients learning style help to customize the WP visual editor?
- The visual editor provides a semi-WYSIWYG (What You See is What You Get) content editor that allows you to easily create, edit, and format your blog content in a view similar to that of a word processing program. What are the Pros and Cons to the Visual Editor? PRO: You can edit pages and add images without any knowledge of HTML CON: Can create messy code that will increase file size and slow page downloads, ultimately hurting your SEO. Writing content is the backbone of a Visual Editor however, the look, feel and design of the tool used in content writing and editing is very important to the creator of the content.
