Photosynthesis curso

  1. 1. Photosynthesis
  2. 2. Plants are producers because they produce their own food in a process called:
  3. 3. This process happens in the leaf of the plant.
  4. 4. For photosynthesis plants need: Light  The plant’s leaves use the light to make a sugar called glucose.
  5. 5. Air  The plants need carbon dioxide and produce oxygen.
  6. 6.  Water  The plants need water to produce their own food.
  7. 7. What is Glucose? Glucose is the food for the plant. It gives the plant energy to grow.
  8. 8. How much glucose does a plant make? Plants make enough glucose to be used during the night and on cloudy days when they don’t get sunlight. The extra glucose is stored.
  9. 9.  During the process of photosynthesis, oxygen is produced. We use this oxygen to breathe.
  10. 10. Plants are: a) producers b) consumers c) decomposers
  11. 11. NEXT!
  12. 12. TRY AGAIN!
  13. 13. Plants produce their own food through a process called: a) chlorophila b) photosynthesis c) Carbon dioxide
  14. 14. NEXT!
  15. 15. TRY AGAIN!
  16. 16. To survive, plants need: a) water, gas and oxygen. b) air, snow and wind. c) light, air and water.
  17. 17. NEXT!
  18. 18. TRY AGAIN!
  19. 19. Bye babies, see you in our next unit, when seeing animal needs!
