      • Dear Parents/ Guardians,
      • Greetings, Hafadai and Tirow Wami! My name is Carlynn S. Attao. I am a student at the Northern Marianas College, currently in the process of completing my baccalaureate degree in Elementary Education. In order to fulfill this obligation, I would have to take one last course which requires a student teaching practicum experience. It is with great pleasure that I inform you that this semester I will be a student teacher in your child’s classroom.
      • My student teaching experience will be 16 weeks long in which I will be able to demonstrate the knowledge, attitude, and skills that I have learned as an NMC: SOE student. I will be working closely under the supervision of the classroom teacher in ensuring the educational success of both your child’s and mine during the 16 weeks period. Please note that media footage will be going on throughout this experience and I would need your consent to do so. I have attached the NMC Student Media Consent Form along with this letter for your support and permission.
      • I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to the San Vicente Elementary School Administrators, My Advisor (Mrs. Pam Buckingham), Ms. Sherwin Mendiola (Classroom teacher) and most of all, you, the parents/guardians and students for giving me the opportunity to work with you throughout this experience. I am delighted and honored to be in your class and can hardly wait to meet you. Once again, thank you for the opportunity and welcome back to school!! Ms. Carlynn

    5. The first few weeks…
      • During the first few weeks, I taught the math lessons. Then, later started teaching Direct Instruction with small groups. I continually taught math and direct instruction throughout my student teaching experience.
    6. My half days…
      • Ms. Sherwin and I decided it will be best to take over the beginning part of the day so that it will be easy to flow straight into full day responsibility of taking care of the class. During the half days, I took over the morning routine, direct instruction, recess, math and the lunch period. It was a great experience.
    7. My Full DAY!!
      • Pretty much the full day was all me! Learning with my students. It gave me the opportunity to apply and enhance my teaching skills and strategies. It was a bit stressful for me at times, but it was all worth it. Overall, it was the ultimate test for me and it was a great experience!
