During the first few weeks, I taught the math lessons. Then, later started teaching Direct Instruction with small groups. I continually taught math and direct instruction throughout my student teaching experience.
My half days…
Ms. Sherwin and I decided it will be best to take over the beginning part of the day so that it will be easy to flow straight into full day responsibility of taking care of the class. During the half days, I took over the morning routine, direct instruction, recess, math and the lunch period. It was a great experience.
My Full DAY!!
Pretty much the full day was all me! Learning with my students. It gave me the opportunity to apply and enhance my teaching skills and strategies. It was a bit stressful for me at times, but it was all worth it. Overall, it was the ultimate test for me and it was a great experience!
