4 la epigenética, obesidad

  1. 1. DR. ARNOLDO GUZMAN SANCHEZJEFE DEL SERVICIO DE OBSTETRICIAHCFAADR. CARLOS VICTOR PIÑUELAS MERCADOMEDICO INTERNO DE PREGRADO – HCFAAUNIVERSIDAD GUADALAJARA LAMAR
  2. 2. ASPECTOS BÁSICOSMETILACION O NO DEL DNAACETILACION O NO DE HISTONASGRUPO DE GENES EPIOBESIOGENICOSCONCLUSIONES
  3. 3. Introduction The aetiology of obesity is multifactorial, involving complex interactions amongthe genetic background, hormones anddifferent unhealthy environmentalfactors such as sedentarism orinadequate dietary habits.
  4. 4. Epigenetics: The study of heritable (from cell todaughter cell, parents to off spring, orboth) changes in genome function bychemical modifications of DNA andDNA-associated proteins that occurwithout a change in the DNA nucleotidesequence.
  5. 5. Epigenetics These changes include DNA methylation, covalent modifications to histones, packaging of DNA around nucleosomes, chromatin folding and chromatinattachment to the nuclear matrix. More recently, the involvement ofepigenetic mechanisms such as poly combgroup (PcG) complexes and microRNAs(miRNAs) has been reported in mammals.
  6. 6. Some examples of dynamical changes in DNA methylation pattern andhistone modifications because different nutritional conditions.
