A different study published by Dr. Keith Allen et al concluded that Sorin EVH and traditional saphenectomy yielded similar event-free survival, although leg wound complications were reduced from 19% to 4% with the Sorin system. 1
In addition, the Allen study concluded that the number of outpatient visits required to manage each wound complication was far less with Sorin EVH.
