  • Note the three days at sea on the eastern Caribbean cruise.
  • Norwegian Epic will take shipboard nightlife to the next level. But I cannot enter into a conversation about nightlife without first discussing Freestyle Cruising. How many of you have taken a cruise? How many of you have taken an NCL cruise? How many of you have sailed with NCL in the past two years? Interesting! For those of you who have recently experienced Freestyle Cruising, you know what the shipboard experience is like. But for those of you who haven’t cruised with NCL in a while or for that matter have never sailed with us, agents often ask how they should discuss a Freestyle evening aboard ship. It’s easy… Think of your evening aboard ship the same as you would an evening on the town in a world-class city, say, New York! For an evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing, how would you dress. Would you wear seaquins? Maybe! Nice jeans and a stylish shirt? Maybe! Shorts? Maybe! What defines what you’re going to wear for a night on the town? The places you’ll be visiting. If you’re going to an elegant supper club, then sequins, definitely. If dinner and clubbing, then nice jeans and a stylish shirt. If to the local Jimmy Buffet buffet and singalong, then, yes, perhaps shorts. It’s no different on a Freestyle Cruise. After deciding what sort of night they want to have, then they pick the clothing. It’s Freestyle! Here are their choices aboard Norwegian Epic….

  • NCL takes the industry lead, again, by revolutionizing stateroom design. Norwegian Epic New Wave Staterooms eliminate the traditional box design of shipboard accommodations. And there are no traditional outside staterooms aboard Epic. All are balconies.
  • We recently announced special staterooms and an exclusive area for the solo traveler and the sales results have been phenomenal. Long ignored by the industry, NCL gives solo travelers a reasonable price and an exclusive lounge! Start imagining what you’ll be able to do with Norwegian Epic Studios.
  • How many in this room have ever travelled by themselves? How many in this room have ever taken a cruise by themselves? Ever thought that cruise lines were charging prices that were too high for the single traveler? Ever wanted some sort of opportunity to meet other solo travelers onboard? NCL is giving you the very first staterooms designed and priced for solo travelers.
  • Here’s some data as to why we made the decision to do this…

  • Norwegian Epic Studios are all ‘corridor view’ staterooms, meaning that they are all inside, but offer a window with a view of the ship’s interior.
  • Here’s a top-down view of the studio. Note that the entry door is on the bottom of the screen, next to the corridor-facing porthole. The blue arrow is pointing to the entry door.
  • Here’s the private key-card access Studio Lounge, giving solo travelers the opportunity to socialize over breakfast or evening cocktails. And here’s what your clients are saying about our new idea…
  • And you’re also probably wondering what we’re planning to charge for the studios….
  • The entire complex may also be blocked for a group, if your agency has a large singles group that requires proper accommodation. I’m not going to show you a rendering of every stateroom on the ship, but wanted to give you an idea of a sampling of the various stateroom categories….
  • Note the new bathroom are near the entrance of the stateroom. A curtain across the hallway divides the bathroom area from the rest of the room. So if Grandma and Little Jimmy are traveling together, Little Jimmy won’t be traumatized when grandma jumps into the shower.
  • There are no outside staterooms aboard Epic. All are balconies.
