Two drivers pushing the discussion of breadth and scale for Utilities: ...

Two drivers pushing the discussion of breadth and scale for Utilities:

- The convergence of OT and IT are requiring us to consolidate and rationalize IT architectures in entirely new ways (Breadth Driver)

- The utilities in the world are requiring stable solutions that scale into the 10’s of millions of end points and hundreds of terabytes of data(Scale Driver)

See examples in the French Market on how its done and other Utilities can follow.

  • ralphsmart ralphsmart Depth, Breadth, Scale and Flexibility of ORACLE Utilities are certainly great objectives but they only work if and only if additional conditions such as TRUST, SECURITY, PRIVACY are irreproachable - But as long as ORACLE Executives have a history of spying, infiltrating and phishing to gain deep customer insight and ORACLE Management not taking corrective action the entire partnership between ORACLE and Cap Gemini is questionable -

Just do your research about Bill Devereaux is also known as 'The Smart Meter Spy'. He got fired from the largest SFO Utility (http://www.siliconbeat.com/2013/01/24/pge-may-pay-390000-fine-for-ralph-the-smartmeter-spy/) and then hired and promoted by ORACLE to become VP of Strategy ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRmSAyVofr8

Who would want to store any customer or personal data in a product, system or cloud where your executives such as Ralph William Devereaux have such loaded history ... .

The internet is full of 'Ralph' Stories:
    - http://www.ca.allgov.com/news/controversies/pge-pays-390000-fine-for-trying-to-spy-on-smartmeter-critics-130408?news=849669
    - http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2013/06/is-your-smart-meter-spying-on-you.html
    - Etc..

Industry Giants such as ORACLE and executives such as Linda Jackman and Rodger Smith are required to demonstrate irreproachable integrity and required to take swift action in order to regain the trust with Utilities, Customers and Partners - and if ultimately needed to separate themselves from questionable resources

The 'Depth, Breadth, Scale and Flexibility' Tagline as well as the partnership with CapGemini will be associated with illegal, damaging practices as demonstrated by the SmartMeter Spy aka Bill Devereaux and the line managers hiring and promoting him.
