The Buffalo Architecture Foundationis pleased to announce that theArchitecture + Education programhas been named an honoree of theAmerican Institute of Architects (AIA)Diversity Recognition Program.The Diversity Recognition Program recognizesarchitects, local AIA components, educationalinstitutions, and organizations that areactively committed to increasing diversity andinclusion within the architecture profession.The honorees will be celebrated during the2013 AIA National Convention and DesignExhibition in June, in Denver, Colorado.The Architecture + EducationProgram brings over a decadeof momentum and successfulpublic outreach to students inBuffalo Public Schools. Theprogram was founded to increase awarenessand appreciation of the built environment andlocal communities, and to use architecture asa multidisciplinary form of active learning.
