Hansel’s and Gretel’s grandfather is on his death bed saying he has a very faithful servant named Johannes they just call him Faithful Johannes though. He tells Faithful Johannes “ promise me two things the first be faithful to my son like you have been to me. The second show him al his inheritance the castle, the treasures, all his fine land except for one room. Do not show him the room with the golden princess portrait in it if he sees it he will fall in love with her and it will cost him his life. Faithful Johannes how the young prince all his property except that one room. The prince not being stupid realizes that he hasn’t show him the room. He demands he shows him the room. Faithful Johannes being faithful and all shows him the room. The prince sees the room and falls madly in love with the princess. Faithful Johannes knows of the curse upon the princess anyone she will marry has died and if she has any children they will have a even worst fate. The prince not listening goes off and sweeps her off her feet and are to be married the next day. But 3 swallows tell of a terrible fate.
 5. 5. The Fate

The first fate was when the shipped arrived there would be a beautiful chestnut stallion the prince would want to ride but when he does he’ll be thrown from it and die. If they survive that fate than when the arrive at the castle a wedding dress made of pure gold will be laying in a bushel of purple flowers the princess would want to wear it and if she does she will be consumed by a fiery ball and burn into cinder right there in that spot. If they survive that fate then during the first dance the new queen will swoon fall to the floor and die.

 6. 6. Saved by Johannes

Johannes hearing of all these fates is determined to not let it happen . He kills the stallion throws the dress in the fire. But at the wedding the prince thinks he takes it to far. The queen during the dance swoons and Johannes catches her and runs away the only way to save her is to draw three drops of blood from her lip. Which he does, but the prince sees and sentences him to be hung. The prince says “any last words before you are hung” Johannes admits all he has done and is turned to stone which is the consequence off admitting what you did to save the lives of the 3 swallow fate people.

Saved
 7. 7. From stone to human

The King felt very bad about what happened to Johannes so he takes the statue of him and keeps it in his castle. Later they have twins one a girl one a boy. They name them Hansel and Gretel. The King talks to the statue everyday one day he begins to cry while talking to him. The statue starts to speak it says “ to bring me back to life you have to cut off the heads of your children and slather your blood on me.” The king loves his children very much but he loved Johannes more. He calls the children from there place to come in the room. He removes the sword from its place on the wall and chops both there heads off. He slathers the blood on Johannes and he comes back to life. Johannes walks over to the headless children and replaces there heads on there necks and there back to life.
