    2. With swimsuit season right around the corner, everyone is looking for ways to loose a few extra pounds. Luckily, losing weight is just a matter of reducing the number of calories you consume on a daily basis.
    3. To calculate the calories needed each day to lose weight you only need to follow a few simple steps. Let’s get started!
    4. First of all you need to figure out the number of calories per day you consume right now. Without changing your eating habits, record the number of calories you eat each day for a week. Write down everything you put in your mouth!
    5. Average these numbers together to give you the calories per day you consume. For example, we’ll say you currently consume 3000 calories per day.
    6. Now, decide how many pounds per week you want to lose and be realistic! One to two pounds per week is a healthy rate of weight loss.
    7. One pound is equal to 3500 calories, so multiply the number of pounds you want to lose by 3500. You need to reduce your weekly intake of calories by this number. So, if you wan to lose two pounds per week multiply 3500 by 2 and you get 7000 calories.
    8. Next, there are seven days in a week, so divide this number by 7 to get the number of calories per day you need to reduce your daily intake by. For example, 7000 divided by 7 equals 1000 calories per day.
    9. Finally, subtract this number from the number of calories you currently consume on a daily basis to get the number of calories needed each day to lose weight.
    10. For example, 3000 minus 1000 equals 2000 calories per day that you need to consume to lose two pounds per week
