Over the phone my English is crisp.
All slang and concrete city.
Yours is stoic. Accented. Straight to the
point. Sounds heavy, almost like it's war torn
Almost like it echoes or screams, or wants to
melt into the black night landscape of
memory. Sounds like you, all immigrant
single mother, sounds like you and your
voice are still running...”
