    The slides are an example of 'death by PowerPoint.' Why not have some visual images? People process visually. Read Presentation Zen.

    Excellent presentation! Thanks for sharing the slides. I would add is that as a manager of a remote team, you function as a hub of information, and information needs to flow in all directions. Not only should you communicate with individual team members, but keep the whole team aware of the status of their teammates, as well as priorities coming down from the executive level. Use both individual communication and group communication channels as needed. The manager can improve information quality by editing/organizing the wiki, keeping tools, sandbox, and VM’s updated, etc. These are responsibilities that fall to no individual member of your team, so they fall to you as a manager.
