  • 2. What is it?• TweetDeck is an app that brings moreflexibility and insight to power users.• TweetDeck is a social media dashboardapplication for management of Twitteraccounts.
  • 3. What is it?• Like other Twitter applications it interfaceswith the Twitter API to allow users to sendand receive tweets and view profiles.• It was the most popular Twitter applicationwith a 23% market share as of June 2009,following only the official Twitter websitewith 45.7% share for posting new statusupdates.
  • 4. More Info• Originally, as it is now, TweetDeck wasaimed towards the Twitter socialnetworking service. Over the years,Tweetdeck introduced support for othersocial networks, but has since removedthat support.
  • 5. More Info• In 2012 TweetDeck reverted to onlysupporting Twitter and Facebook, endingsupport for LinkedIn,MySpace, and thenow defunct Google Buzz effective June2012.
  • 6. Strengths• Free to use• Self explanatory and simple setup• The new TweetDeck displays eightcolumns by default• But you can easily delete a column byclicking on its heading and selectingDelete.• More customizable interface• Unlimited number of Twitter accounts
  • 7. Weaknesses• Cant schedule Tweets with photos• Supports only one Facebook account• Very few user options• you cannot paste text into tweets you haveto type each one• No in-app reporting features• No access to lists
  • 8. Social Media forBusiness Purposes• This specific tool I think would not really beuseful for business purposes. It had a lotof bad reviews from past businesses thathad used it and it does not seemconvenient.• It also would not seem to benefit thebusiness enough for the pros to outweighthe cons.
