    6. What is web 2
      • Web 2 is the second phase of the Internet where, rather than being somewhere we read information, we all start creating content on sharing it online.
      • It changes the focus of the Internet from a ‘read web’ to a’ read-write’ Web.
      • The idea is that everyone creates their own Web content using Blogs, Wikis and social networking.
      • e learning 2 follows on from Web 2 and means using Blogs, Wiki and threaded discussion to form a learning network. The content is created by the members of the groups of learners and no one is directly responsible for the content created in this way. Naish (2007
    7. Focus on Learning not Teaching
      • Formal
      • Informal
      • Collaborative
    8. Why does it matter to Post compulsory teaching and training?
      • Technology savvy children are switching often becoming 'emotional truants' because schools are not relevant in the digital age Lord Putman has said.Johathon Milne (2008)
      • Children were disengaging from formal education, he said because it did not reflect their experience of digital interaction. Jonathon Milne (2008)
      • Women also emerged as big followers of the internet, with those aged between 25 and 34 spending more time online than their male counterparts. They accounted for 55 per cent of the total time devoted to the web.
      • The findings clearly show that the internet was no longer the preserve of young people.
      • “ Lots of people think that older people are not plugged into the digital world. This is clearly wrong,” said an Age Concern spokesman. .Nicole Martin (2007)
