This is the engine of Visual KPI where three primary activities take place: Data from multiple sources is cached, composited and applied to configuration/KPI/scorecard rules (as defined by the VKPI Editor) Security policies and business rules are applied in real-time Device-specific screens and visualizations are created on-the-fly and delivered to any supported devices (conforming to the ideal screen size, layout, delivery mechanism and security policy) Visual KPI Excel Editor. This application is where all configuration takes place and is not used at run-time. It is based on Excel to leverage existing skills. Key functions: defining and connecting to data sources, defining KPIs/scorecards and key supporting data elements, defining business rules including equations or compositing rules, and determining ideal information and screen flow and hierarchy. CALs for Customer’s devices. Supports any devices with a modern browser, such as mobile phones (Windows Mobile, Blackberry, iPhone, Android, Palm Pre, etc.), other handheld devices (PDA, GPS w/Browser, etc.) and PCs (Windows, Mac, Linux, Unix, etc.). Custom screens are generated specifically for the device (screen size, layout, aspect ratio) by the Visual KPI Server in real time as requested by the user.
