The new university had faculties of l aw, medicine, philosophy and two faculties of theology- Protestant and Catholic After the Second World War a group of Polish professors, formerly from Lvov, started teaching and research activities 15 November 1945 – the first post-war academic lecture delivered at the University of Wroclaw
