      • Tasmanian Devils only live 6-8 years.
      • Weigh up to 26 pounds.
      • Usually 2 feet 5 inches in height.
      • They are nocturnal.
      • They have a foot long tail where they store their fat.
      • Their ears turn bright red when irritated.
    • Habitat
      • Live only on the Australian island of Tasmania.
      • Live in forests near rivers.
      • Live near the outskirts of suburbs and eat road kill.
    • Interesting Facts
      • Lived in mainland Australia at one point but became extinct.
      • Got their name because of their crazy screams and crazy personalities.
      • Tasmanian Devils are in danger of a disease called “Devil facial tumor disease.”

      • Tasmanian Devils will eat any dead animal no matter how long its been dead.
      • They eat road kill, other dead animals, and live animals.
      • They are not seriously hunted by anything on the island.

      • There are no recorded deaths of humans by Tasmanian Devils.
      • People have been bitten or scratched after messing with a devil.
