  • 2. Session focused on balance safety and learning in the digital age.
  • 3. Most people say they’d like to see students engaged.
  • 4. There is still dependency on the teachers.
  • 5. Are students adding value to the learning of other students?
  • 6. Is information flowing out of the classroom.
  • 7. The real power of the web is that it enables global collaboration.
  • 8. We’re blocking all the social tools that enable it.
  • 9. Without technology the schools would barely be up to go.
  • 10. November recommended that school leaders give teachers access to Skype.
  • 11. Many school leaders block students’ access to online social tools.
  • 12. Schools are responsible for what goes on in the class.
  • 13. Teachers are blocking access to YouTube because it’s bad.
  • 14. Teachers have you taught the students to use it correctly.
  • 15. Schools are shrinking a key responsibility.
  • 16. Facebook might be blocked in school, kids are still using it at home.
  • 17. Monitor, rather than block, students use of online social tools.
  • 18. Lightspeed software can block access to certain web sites.
  • 19. It also captures and reports on students online behavior.
  • 20. Block access to sites that have no educational value.
  • 21. Take advantage on monitoring and reporting tools.
