  2. 2. Climate <ul><li>Climate is the average weather of a geographical place over time </li></ul><ul><li>It is a word used to describe to the temperature and amount of rain of a certain place </li></ul>

  4. 4. Precipitation <ul><li>Precipitation is a word used by meteorologists </li></ul><ul><li>It means any kind of weather that comes out of the sky - like snow or rain </li></ul>

  6. 6. Atmosphere <ul><li>Atmosphere is a layer of gases that are around a planet </li></ul><ul><li>Earth’s atmosphere is made up of nitrogen, oxygen, water vapor and a few other gases </li></ul><ul><li>The gases put pressure on the earth’s surface </li></ul>

  8. 8. Pressure <ul><li>Pressure on the earth is measured with a barometer </li></ul><ul><li>It is a special weather instrument that measures atmospheric pressure </li></ul><ul><li>A lot of the time when the pressure changes it, means the weather is going to change </li></ul>
  9. 9. How to Predict Weather <ul><li>High pressure usually means good weather </li></ul><ul><li>Low pressure usually means a storm is coming </li></ul>
