The London 2012 Olympic experience gave the world the expression “The Digital Games”. They have also been called “The Social Media Games”. For the first time ever, spectator interaction via Internet and social media became more important even than television. More Olympics-related tweets were sent in a single day during the London games period than during the whole of Beijing. As soon as an event begins or the results are in, the world wants to know, see, interact with the excitement and share their views. This instance of “ultimate Instant Globalisation” has built sustainable learning for high capacity, high resilience network provision that will help organisations withstand any level of demand.
