  • Why?
    • We believe that everyone should recycle plastic because it saves energy, it helps the environment, recycling creates jobs as well, also, recycling plastic isn't any harder then not recycling. So why not do it?
  • Saving Energy
    • Recycling saves energy because it uses less energy to make products when using recycled materials.
  • Environment
    • Recycling helps the environment because when we recycle we wont have to use as much raw materials.
    • Also it reduces the amount of garbage in our landfills.
  • Job Creation
    • Recycling helps to create jobs by building and opening new recycling plants.
  • Recycling is simple
  • Other Side
    • Some things that are being recycled may not be healthy to recycle or are being used inappropriately after being recycled. For example, when plastic bags are being recycled and reused into food, the powder from the plastic gets into the food and may be harmful to eat for animals and humans. This may cause them to become ill or die.
  • Other Interesting Facts
    • Every ton of paper recycled saves 17 trees.
    • The US produces 251 million tons of garbage every year.
    • The US recycles 82 million materials every year.
    • Recycling prevents habitat destruction.
    • Landfills are running out of room.
    • Island sized garbage dumps floating in the ocean.
    • The more people recycle the cheaper products will be if made from recycled materials.
