  • HOMILY
  • We believe in one God, the Father the almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God., eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven.
  • by the power of the Holy Spirit, he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered, died and was buried. On the third day he rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven. and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
  • He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
  • Reponse: Lord, hear us we pray For our Archbishop and for all our priests and religious; that they may be guides and models for the laity who work for them. We pray to the Lord: That the lay apostolate organisations will grow in unity and strengthen their commitments to serve you faithfully and generously. We pray to the Lord:
  • Reponse: Lord, hear us we pray That we always remember to be apostles at our workplace and schools, and to help and support in prayer, love and sacrifice, those who work and study with us: That the dedicated lay men and women who give of themselves selflessly and tirelessly in the service of God may be inspired to greater heights of apostolic zeal. We pray to the Lord:
  • PRAYER FOR VOCATION Father, today the harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few. And you said to us through your Son “Ask the Master of the harvest to send labourers to gather the harvest.” Filled with confidence, we ask in your plan of salvation to provide shepherds for your people. Fill those you have chosen in Singapore, with the spirit of courage and love, to answer the call as religious brother or sister, and your call as minister of your altar, and an ardent servant of the Gospel. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
