Medical Device A medical device is a product that is manufactured, sold or represented for use by humans in the Diagnosis, treatment, prevention or mitigation of a disease, disorder or abnormal physical state or symptoms thereof restoration, correction or modification of a body function or structure; Diagnosis of pregnancy; Care during pregnancy, and at or after the birth of the offspring, including the care of offspring; and, Prevention of conception or pregnancy. Assistive Device Any item, piece of equipment, or product system, whether acquired commercially, modified, or customized, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities and seniors. Diagnostics Equipment, tests, reagents for clinical diagnostics, including in-vitro, in-vivo, point of care, but excluding imaging. Imaging All types of medical and diagnostic imaging including - x-ray, CT scan, PET scan, MRI and Nuclear medicine.
