Introduction
Most everybody knows who Einstein is and
most people know his theories. I am not going to tell
you all about something you already know, I am
going to take you on a journey through Einstein’s
life. Einstein did not quite have his life in order when
he was younger, in fact he made many mistakes. He
wasn’t much different from any of us when he was
younger, he certainly grew to be different though.

Early Life
•He was born into a Jewish family on March 14,
1879 in Ulm, Württemberg, Germany
•Him and his family later moved to Munich
•Einstein did not speak until he was 3 years old
•At age 5 he became fascinated with a compass
•Begins his education at Luitpold Gymnasium in
Munich
•Later attends Aarau boarding school
•1896 - Einstein attends ETH, the prestigious
Swiss Polytechnic University in Zurich
•1900 – Graduates from ETH

•In 1896 he renounces his German citizenship
and obtains Swiss citizenship in 1901
•In 1901 he gets his girlfriend pregnant
•1902 – Puts daughter (Leiserl Einstein) up for
adoption
•1902 – Becomes a clerk
•In 1903 he marries MilevaMaric and their son
(Hans Albert) is born in 1904
•1905 – Publishes his theory of Special
Relativity and the first formulation of e=mc2
•1910 - Eduard Einstein is born
•1911 - Works as a professor in Prague
•1912 – Moves back to Zurich and becomes a
professor at the college he attended
•1914 - Moves to Berlin to become director of
Kaiser Wilhelm Institute

Rest of his life
•1915 – Completes his General Theory of Relativity
•1919 – He divorces Mileva and marries his cousin
(Elsa Lowenthal)
•May 29, 1919 – Solar eclipse proves Theory of
Relativity
•1921 – Wins a Nobel Prize in Physics
•1933 – Flee from Germany to the U.S
•1939 – Einstein writes a letter to President
Roosevelt urging him to launch a nuclear research
program
•1940 – Becomes a U.S citizen
•April 18, 1955 – He dies of heart failure
