Who Moved My Cheese? - New Video Version

  1. 1. Who Moved My Cheese? An Amazing Way to Deal With Change In Your Work & In Your Life DR. SPENCER JOHNSON
  2. 2. “Cheese” – a metaphor for what we want to have in life, whether it is…. a job, a relationship, money, a big house, freedom, health, recognition, spiritual peace, or even an activity like jogging or golf.
  3. 3. Each of us has our own idea of what Cheese is, and… We pursue it because we believe it makes us happy.
  4. 4. Common Goals : Every morning we search for favorite cheese. The maze was a complex system of paths or tunnels in which it is easy to get lost
  5. 5. One morning, there was no cheese at Station C!!! Who moved my cheese?
  6. 6. The Changes move your cheese! The question is how we react to those Changes?
  7. 7. Who you thought you were? Scurry,
  8. 8. The Hems who deny change and resist it out of fear. He wanted to work in a place that was safe.
  9. 9. The Haws who learn to adapt in time when they see something better. They were hesitant at first, but were open-minded enough to learn something new, and adapted.
  10. 10. The Sniffs who anticipate change early by sniffing it out in the marketplace, and update the corporate vision.
  11. 11. The Scurrys who quickly scurry into action and adapts. He liked to get things done, so they took action based on the new corporate vision.
  12. 12. Four characters in this delightful parable represent parts of ourselves whenever we are confronted with change. Whatever part of us we choose, we all share the common need to find our way in the maze of life and succeed in changing times.
  13. 13. Haw now realized that the change probably would not have taken him by surprise if he had been watching what was happening all along and if he had anticipated change.
  14. 14. Haw finds New Station Cheese -Station N. Congratulation Haw!!!
  15. 15. As Haw searched for new cheese, he wrote new lessons on the wall every day. Here are some lessons that Haw learned…
  16. 16. Change Happens Discover how you can let change work to your advantage and let it lead you to success!
  17. 17. Anticipate Change & Adapt to it quickly!
  18. 18. The more important your Cheese is to you, the more you want to hold on to it.
  19. 19. If you do not change, you can become extinct.
  20. 20. Old beliefs do not lead you to New Cheese.
  21. 21. When you move beyond your fear, you feel free. What you are afraid of is never as bad as what you imagine. When you change what you believe, you change what you do.
  22. 22. Why didn’t we get up and move with the Cheese sooner?
  23. 23. Smell The Cheese Often So You Know When It is Getting Old!!! Pile was getting smaller Some of the cheese did not taste good Old Cheese had mold
  24. 24. Yesterday’s Cheese is NOT coming back. It’s time to search for New Cheese.
  25. 25. Movement in A New Direction Helps You Find New Cheese.
  26. 26. Imagining myself enjoying New Cheese, even before I find it, leads me to it.
  27. 27. It is safer to search in the maze than remain in a cheeseless situation. Haw entered the Cheese Station But it was empty. No Cheese! Haw felt disappointed.
  28. 28. You can shook your head in disappointment but this must not stop you from finding New Cheese.
  29. 29. The quicker you let go of old cheese, the sooner you find New Cheese. Be alert in order to anticipate change, and next time, periodically smell the cheese to check if it is getting old. GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE!!!
  30. 30. Enjoy change. Be ready to change quickly, again and again
  31. 31. When you see that you can find and enjoy New Cheese, you change course. Learn to laugh at your own mistakes, then you will be able to let go and move on.
  32. 32. Noticing small changes early helps you adapt to the bigger changes that are to come.
  33. 33. Change still happens. They keep moving the Cheese.
  34. 34. Move with the Cheese and enjoy it! The biggest inhibitor of change lies within yourself. Nothing gets better until you change.
  35. 35. There is always new cheese out there!!! Thank You Very Much Sompong Yusoontorn
